I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table. We were thrilled to receive this set of 8 Farmhouse Upholstered chairs. They were the perfect match for our newly renovated home with the farmhouse decor! It was not difficult to build, it came with the necessary tools however it is helpful if you own an electric screwdriver. I only gave it a 4 star for 2 reasons the legs required a soft pad to avoid scratching your would floor ( thankfully we had our own), and also because it only came with the screws for 7 of the 8 chairs. We will need to contact Wayfair customer service and hopefully they will be able to send us the 8th set of screws.
