I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. It's a very nice cage for the price. The only drawbacks I would mention are there isn't a top grid to hang swings or similar from; so I hung them off a perch. The 2nd is the wheels were so lose they would fall right out. So we kept the plastic plugs in the feet and drilled a hole big enough for the wheel to go through and that worked well. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included.
