This is heavy, beautiful, substantial and really looks quite stately and regal in the room. I hired professional installers (a carpenter and an assistant) and it took them approximately one full workday 9-5 to install it. Its heavy and needs to be done correctly to look architectural and finished. Thrilled with it! Still have some painting and styling to do to the wall (painting) and fireplace (styling) (and some caulking between the end of the fireplace and the wall), but very very happy with this purchase!. I ordered this stone mantle it is absolutely beautiful. The delivery was quick and the unit was not damaged in anyway as it was well packed. What I love about it is that it does not take up a lot of room on the floor nor on the wall it is a thin unit which is exactly what I needed as a mantle! Just know that when you install it, you need to put a stronger adhesive to make sure it does not come off-the-wall. You also need to cut down the inner tiles that attach to the legs of the mantle so the inner tile on the top can fit appropriately. you also need to put a 2 x 4 behind the top of the mantle to help with the support of the weight of the top of the mantle as well. I have included a picture of the mantle in my space as well as the mortar we used! What is helpful is that the legs to come with metal straps to screw into the wall which helps with installment and secure Ness of the legs! For use indoors or out, this ASTM E136 non-combustible mantel shelf was cast from a patented molding material using a found piece of Limestone capturing, to perfection, the nuances and subtle details of this age-old stone. The chiseled front edge springs to life through the artistry of a meticulously hand-painted finish. Made in the USA, this shelf has a 9-inch depth allowing for ample room on top for personal effects. Due to the natural imperfections captured from the Limestone, the top of the mantel shelf will have natural offsets and depressions and the dimensions will vary slightly, i.e. shelf height and depth will be marginally different across the entire mantel. 5”H x 9”D 100lbs. When mounting your mantel, adhere to the “clearances to combustibles” specifications of your fireplace insert or stove.

Beautiful mantel quality as expected worth the price highly recommend. The product quality is super however I did not like the wayfair delivery left the package at the door without double checking the product because this product has marked as non refundable so be careful its better to be there and ask the delivery guys open the box and double check everything.
