The canopy bed is beautiful and was easy to assemble. The instructions included are accurate and easy to follow. I only knocked a star off because the top and bottom "F" pieces did not screw in on the left side of the bed because the screw holes didn't align properly. I even tried turning them around, flipping them upside down and swapping the places of the 2 bars, to no avail. But I just left the bars slotted into the brackets and I think it will be ok..they are just not secured with screws on that side of the bed. Love the look of the bed, and easy to assemble. As long as your kids decide not to hang or climb the frame, you should be ok. The cutoff in the fabric is cool, but unsure how to secure it and have it stay in place without sewing additional ties/loops, or maybe velcro. To be fair, this could be caused by the way we attached the fabric, unsure. But the picture helps indicate that the flap doesn't reach, allowing it to sway. The lights add nice ambiance, but for us, because the bed is flush against the wall covering the outlet, a slim profile adapter that had the plug for the lights facing down would have been preferred. Also, I am unsure if there is a switch for the lights (couldn't find one), forcing you to unplug them each time. We chose to use an old external battery with an on/off button, but a smart plug would solve this issue. We purchased a Nectar children's mattress that fits perfectly. We love that there is more than 12” of under-bed clearance, which is enough room for a couple of storage bins filled with seasonal apparel or extra bedding. This metal bed has sturdy slats that provide a solid foundation for your mattress. The system of slats eliminates the need for a box spring – simply top it with the standard mattress of your choice (sold separately). Besides, assembly is required, but from what we hear, it’s pretty straightforward.
