It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. This is a great bed. For the price we are really happy with it! We’re using it for our grandchildren. However, one thing you do need to know is a standard mattress doesn’t fit correctly. There’s about 3 to 4 inches on the top and the bottom that if a child was standing on the bed, their foot can go right down through. We are going to remedy it with some foam and some wood support. It was easy to put together and feels very sturdy. I have high pile carpet, so I was concerned with how smooth pulling the trundle bed out would be, but I did not have any issues with it. The bottom pulls out easily. I purchased a 6" mattress for the bottom frame and it fits well. There is some room left, so I may just get an 8" when it's time to replace the mattress. We received this when we were moving. When I tried putting it together, the pieces are poorly made and do not fit together. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing to spend so much on an item and not be able to assemble it. It was also not eligible for a refund.
