It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. This is a great bed. For the price we are really happy with it! We’re using it for our grandchildren. However, one thing you do need to know is a standard mattress doesn’t fit correctly. There’s about 3 to 4 inches on the top and the bottom that if a child was standing on the bed, their foot can go right down through. We are going to remedy it with some foam and some wood support. Came in two boxes in usual Wayfair fashion and in hundreds of pieces. Lol We dove in separated the pieces and quickly realized 75% of the pieces were not numbered.. This made assembly a little frustrating because we had to build parts and then take some apart and rebuild to go to next steps. The instructions could definitely use some more detail. And just FYI the roof pieces have spaces in between so don’t expect a solid roof . For the money I feel could be a little more sturdier, but I don’t expect anyone to be pushing on the backside so we will see how well it stands up. We also ordered 2 10” memory foam mattress through Wayfair. Would highly recommend a 6 or 8 inch for top depending on the age of child using the bed and how much the roll. The 10” is definitely too tall for the Trundle but are able to still slide Trundle in and out w a little extra work. Overall I am happy with the purchase. My 14 old squealed w delight and approves. Made all the extra work worth it! Definitely a 2 person job and took us 6 hours to build over 3 days. Honestly the extra time could have been cut in half if instructions were better Written/drawn. This is a great bed! We got it for my 10 year old daughter, but this bed would be great for any age. We love the trundle feature as it glides out with ease. The height of the back sides is perfect, as many other daybeds have lower profile sides back, which I did not like. We also did a lot of research on weight capacity, simply for the purpose of durability and longevity this one was better than most (and the trundle as well). We also like that the standard twin size mattress (that we already had) fits perfectly in the trundle (whereas with many other trundles we researched, you would need a much lower profile mattress)..
