This is a great gadget for that rarely used cabinet space above the refrigerator. While you can't fit as much on the racks as you would in the bare cabinet, it's the accessibility that makes it worthwhile. Also consider that what you store must be somewhat lightweight or it won't function. I used it in a rental property for melamine dinnerware so renters won't take the good dishes outside. This thing is so good! I’m in a wheelchair and it makes it possible for me to fully utilize all of the storage space in my upper cabinets. This is great for me, but it would also be really good for a short person. It’s much more streamlined to put these in your cabinets instead of keeping a stepstool handy. I could not recommend them any more highly A note about this specific item compared to similar other ones that are available. The front and sides of these have shelves made from thin strips of metal. If you look at my photo, you can see a blue strap hanging down from one of the pull downs. I’m able to do this because these units do not have solid shelf and shelf fronts. I find it very helpful..
