These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Beautiful quality and perfect for a DIY standing desk I purchased this unfinished Acacia butcher block to use as the desktop for a standing desk build, and the final outcome is absolutely beautiful. Right out of the gate, the delivery was incredibly fast. The packaging was also fantastic—it was heavily protected and arrived in much better shape than other wood countertops I’ve purchased in the past. When I first lifted it, I noticed it was a bit lighter than I expected for solid wood. This is actually a huge positive; it tells me the manufacturer used a proper, thorough drying process, which means the wood is stable and much less likely to warp over time. The wood itself is extremely high quality. The block had one side with a perfectly formatted, gorgeous grain pattern, which I immediately chose as the top facing side for my desk. Since it comes unfinished, I applied my own oil and wax. As you can see in the photos I uploaded, the finish brought out the rich, natural colors of the Acacia perfectly.
