Works fine for my needs. The gold was a terrible yellow color so I spray painted it black to match the rest of my studio decor. I didn't use the curtains that came with it either as I wanted something that would contrast well with the color I painted the walls. And for anyone wondering: The curtains were just ok to begin with. They were linen on the outside and velvet on the inside. The black velvet looked nice and I feel the entire curtain should have been made of that material. The woven linen side seems kind of boring but if you have a small boutique, it would serve your purposes well. The poles are hollow but sturdy enough. My kids loved this. If you're looking for floor bed frames, this is great. The bunk above is the perfect height. It definitely does take two people to assemble, so keep that mind, but it's worth it. This is a nice loft bed set and while slightly more expensive than other sets it is worth the money. This set has the best layout in my opinion for under the bed and that alone is worth the extra cost. It took me about 3.5 hours to fully assemble by myself moving at a relaxed pace. The parts and instructions are labeled fairly well with one extra of each screw. I have not anchored it to the wall yet but it is very sturdy even being on carpet.
