Pilar butter dish or condiment/snack server is perfect for keeping open butter fresh or for serving condiments, sauces relish, or snacks. Beautifully shaped yet humble enough to act as a discreet backdrop to the perfectly arranged meal. The pilar tableware collection was designed by floz design in Germany. Stoneware pieces include bowls, plates, mugs, and serve ware. The full range comes in four matching colors: moonbeam, agave green, mirage grey & pewter. Start setting the table with your own unique color combinations. Stacks beautifully for in-cabinet storage. Outside of stoneware is matte. The inside serving area is glazed for design compliment and easy cleaning. Pilar stoneware is manufactured from clay, quartz, and minerals such as calcite and is defined as a ceramic product. The stoneware is molded at very high temperatures using casting techniques. The high temperatures during the firing process make stoneware more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain.

This ain't your Grandma's Butter Dish. But it could be. It's classic, sturdy, and holds one standard stick of butter. The top handle makes it easy to lift the lid, and the squared design allows you to rest the lid on it's side while you smother those biscuits in melty, golden goodness.

Jonathan Adler never disappoints. This is perfect quirky and a conversation piece who would expect butter to come out of a turtle. Jake. Colorado Springs, CO. Tue Aug 11 2026

Whale spray as a knob for easy grabbing and the lip design greatly prevents the cover from slipping raised scale line keeps your butter in perfect position.

This roomy whale butter dish is a nice touch to any coastal decor. Very cute. Although its purpose is to store butter with lines that align for easy precise butter measures, I am using my for a totally different purpose- as a trinket box on my coastal bathroom vanity (to hide earrings or other jewelry for quick easy storage and "hideaway." It is ceramic and very breakable if you are not careful but no more or less breakable than any other ceramic item. And of course Wayfair does a great job of safely packaging items so they do not break. Very satisfied buyer!. Gigi. Fri Sep 11 2026

This is the second time I have placed this order, and the second time the item arrived smashed to pieces due to inadequate packaging. I wrote in, showing the first order broken to bits, plus the terrible inner packaging, which was nothing but a flimsy, unattached piece of cardboard, not even taped to the tray piece.. First they offered to let me “keep the item for a 2.76 discount, then offered to send another one. I accepted and nothing changed. Inadequate packaging, despite my photos and accurate verbal description..Do not purchase this item! They obviously don’t care to fix this problem.. Alice. Setauket, NY. Sat Sep 19 2026

Had looked for a reasonably priced butter dish that was cobalt blue. Found one similar to this one at another store, but was more expensive. Liked the look of the speckled blue in the plate. However, when I received it, it is not very speckled - hard to notice and the cover is slightly lopsided so does not sit snugly on the plate. The plate also is very large. I was using a Fiesta butter dish and you can see the difference. However, have decided to keep it as it works well enough and does the job.. Stashagirl. Duluth Mn. Mon Sep 28 2020

The ceramic butter dish initially came broken to me. It’s not really packaged that well yeah it has the foam around it, but the box is so tight that anyway my first one broke they replaced it, which was amazing and I really like it it. It’s a beautiful little design and having that butter knife attached to the top with a cutting board is super cool. I really recommend it.. Deena. US. Sat Sep 19 2026

This glass butter dish, with its sleek and classic design, preserves the freshness and flavor of your butter, keeping it soft and spreadable for every meal. Its elegant simplicity complements any table setting.

Love the large size for a big block of a pound of butter. Giving only four stars because glass edges are not softly rounded. Keeping this item nonetheless.. Sonya. West Allis, WI. Sat Jun 06 2026

Keep your butter safe with this domed glass butter dish. Perfect for breakfast tables and fine dining alike!

BEWARE!! I had to purchase this item because I bought the "open box" dish and it arrived broken because they wrapped it loosely and it is fragile. I was told I could only get 25% off towards my order!! Only 25% due to NO FAULT of my own. I am a long time customer and card holder, 1/2 my home is WAYFAIR! After this mishap that will change...I still have another dome running around Fed-Ex that they can't deliver due to "DAMAGE" and customer service can't help me. Just be aware they DON'T give refunds or returns on "OPEN BOX" items!!. Pauline. Denver, CO. Sun Feb 23 2025

Every Family Deserves DOWAN Butter Crock- No More Hard Butter Our Dowan Butter Crock is designed to store butter at room temperature, which means that you can enjoy soft and spreadable butter all the time. If you've been looking for a easy way to keep your butter fresh and soft without refrigeration and no longer bothered by hard butter, then here it is! How To Avoid Butter Falling Out of The Lid Into Water First, make sure not to over soften your butter before packing it into the crock. In hotter climates or when the temperature in the room is over 75°F, five minutes may be long enough. For best results refresh the water daily, and place your butter crock in a spot away from heat sources such as the stove and out of direct sunlight.

So cute and I love having fresh, soft butter on hand.. Jillian. Thu Sep 17 2026

Update: one week later Wayfair sent a replacement unit! The replacement unit came pristine, no salient chips or bubbles. I'm so happy with my new butter dish and even happier with the customer service! This really makes me want to order more from Wayfair! The good: The dish is the exact colour, shape and design as the picture (pay attention, there's a little texture you can appreciate in the pictures from above, I was surprised to see the texture at first but I think it's charming and gives the dish character). The dimensions are also exactly as reported on the listing. What I wish was also reported on the listing is the dimensions of the dip in the dish where the butter goes: 5x2.75". Hard to measure height because the dome is sloped, but I can tell you a Canadian pound of butter (or 4 sticks) doesn't fit with the lid on, barely. Half a pound fits with room to spare above, a stick swims in it width-wise. The bad: Despite both pieces (lid & base) being perfectly bubble wrapped separately, sadly my base came with 2 chips. Given the price of this butter dish, we did submit an incident report with Wayfair, and requested a replacement. We'll see how it goes.. L G. Guelph, ON. Fri Oct 02 2026
