There is a hole for an umbrella, but we don’t need one since ours is on a partially covered patio. If you use one, be sure to have a weighted base, since the table is lightweight. Excellent quality and light weight. The aluminum frame is perfectly welded and finished. It sits a little higher than a patio lounger, making it perfect for dining. The cushion is high density and makes a firm dining seat. I recommend adding a contrasting back cushion for more comfort. The seat size is ample but the chairs spare lines mean it takes up less patio or deck space than many chairs. The packaging was exceptionally good. I had bought a table and chair set from Wayfair a few years ago. The table was great, with a glass top. A freak windstorm flipped the umbrella we had in the table and shattered the glass in a million pieces. We needed a new table that would work with the chairs were still had.
