The frame itself seems relatively sturdy and will do the job for my 6 and 8 year old great grandchildren I believe. It was just put together today and I can't speak to how well it will hold up to children's use or the overall sturdiness and length of use. What I was not happy with was being uninformed about a couple of things. I contracted for the "assembly service". I was unaware that delivery of the bed was not allowed to be brought indoors. I am older and can't lift these packages so it was quite a problem getting them in and then into the room. I expected a delivery to be brought into the room the beds were going into. Also, I did not expect that not only would the delivery be separate from assembly but that assembly did not include the movement. Wayfair told me to move the boxes into the room, open and inspect myself. I would have hired a more full service if that was the case. However, the person who did the assembly was great - did a very thorough job, personable, willing to help, professional and prompt. Ashely was awesome. After using almost 2 months, I must say the screws keep falling out. Also, I noticed it says I received something for my review but I don't know what that was supposed to be. I LOVE THIS BED! The quality is great and very sturdy. Inwas very surprised at how well the wood feels and is very sturdy. A simple twin mattress is enough. There is not enough room for a double or thick style twin bed on top. A queen air mattress fits underneath, so a double would definetly fit. Having 2 people to build it is the best way. Directions were great and all parts are supplied. I would advise to have a better hex/allen wrench set as the included one is not the greatest quality. This is a nice loft bed set and while slightly more expensive than other sets it is worth the money. This set has the best layout in my opinion for under the bed and that alone is worth the extra cost. It took me about 3.5 hours to fully assemble by myself moving at a relaxed pace. The parts and instructions are labeled fairly well with one extra of each screw. I have not anchored it to the wall yet but it is very sturdy even being on carpet. Bought this bed for my son and daughters room. So happy with my purchase! It can be a little wiggly, but its decently made. Im glad they provided the ability to bolt it to the wall.. We are very happy with this loft bed. It looks beautiful, feels sturdy, and has really helped maximize the space in my daughter’s room. She now has plenty of room underneath for studying, doing her makeup, and storage. The only issue was the ladder. The steps are narrow and hard on bare feet, and the included pads would roll and didn’t provide enough cushioning. We solved this by adding foam padding around each rung and covering it with soft material. It made a huge difference and the ladder is now much more comfortable to use. Boxes are well labeled minus telling you which box the instructions are in. Ours were in the side rail and slats box. Intuitive to put together- we did most of it without instructions simply because we hadn’t found them right away. Unfortunately, the desk draw face was cracked and bent so we will need to repair it. There were also several yellowed/tan spots where the paint either wasn’t mixed properly or stain within the wood came through. I feel confident a coat of white over these spots will cover it. We ordered this for a Christmas present and shipping was way faster than expected so we didn’t open the boxes right away to inspect it. I’d recommend opening it promptly and inspecting it so if there are issues, you can get them replaced. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and I think our child will love it.. Casey. Parker, CO.
