I think it looks great. It's just the right size. It came with little damage, too. There is the unfinished line on one side, but I'll set a stain pen and cover it up. The rest is nicely finished. This solid wood bookcase is the perfect size for any space. At 32" high, it provides ample storage, but doesn't overpower. We use real wood and screws with plugs in our construction - not MDF, air nails, or Staples. Some minor assembly at home is required; instructions and hardware included. Overall dimensions of 36" W x 10" D x 32" H with three openings that allow for 33"W x 8.5"D x 9.25"H. We do not use highly processed wood, because of this, you can expect knots and minor imperfections that make each piece unique.

I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. This really is a beautiful Danish mid-century style low bookcase. I got it in walnut and really love the deep, rich color as it goes with other bookcases I own. Right now I have it so the bookcase is open in the back since it is against a wall, but I like that it has the option to attach the back panels. After assembling the unit, I didn't feel like doing any more work - haha - so I just left it as is. It is very heavy - solid wood - and I love that quality compared to so many items that are made of particle board. It took a few minutes to figure out the assembling but then it was easy. It fits most sized books vertically; only a few larger sized books don't fit. Love how the photos displayed had a turntable featured because that is what we are using ours for!
