My 8 year old absolutely lives his new bed! It took my husband about 90 minutes to put together, the directions are clear and everything is labeled well. As you can see in the pictures 1 of the boards did arrive damaged but he was able to put that on the inside so you can’t notice. This bed is really nice with lots of shelving on one side, a desk at the foot of the bed and a storage drawer. I ordered a full size bed in white which is a true white color. This bed is huge when completely assembled so double check measurements in your room and allow for room to open the storage drawer that is located under the mattress section and is the length of the mattress section. I am happy with this bed, now that it is assembled but I am not sure I would order it again. This bed frame comes in many pieces with even more screws and difficult instructions. Lastly, do not order the professional assembly that Wayfair contracts with Angi. I had a terrible experience with the assigned Angi Professional that came to our home but Wayfair made things right, which I appreciate. After considering numerous guest bed options, happy that I chose this Twin XL daybed with trundle. It did take several hours to put together, but i studied instructions carefully, took my time, and had assistance from a helper when needed. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive. A 10” XL Twin mattress is on the way for the top. “Test” sleeping on the raised trundle with a new 8” gel memory foam mattress from Wayfair was very comfortable, better than I expected, and no noticeable squeaking. With a thick mattress pad to give a little “fluff” to the “firm” mattress, it still slides easily under the main frame. The trundle has two screws that fit into slots on the main frame to create a “King” for two adult guests. I hope to minimize the 2” difference in mattresses with different thickness of mattress pads.
