Looks good overall, but a couple downsides. One is that when sitting up watching TV or reading, your head leans against the sharp corners of the headboard which is quite uncomfortable. This is a really nice bed. All solid wood. Very well packaged. No damage from shipping. I’m a 67 year-old woman and assembled it by myself. Instructions were very clear and screws were well labeled with a separate compartment for each group of the same size. Just two snags I ran into that might help someone else out: when installing the wooden “spacers” at the head of the bed, I would recommend pre-drilling holes for the screws. I ended up snapping the heads off the screws when trying to tighten them without pre-drilling. Was able to remove them with pliers and then drilled the holes. Much better! I had some screws of the same size to replace the broken ones. Went in much easier. The other issue was with the foot board. There are chunky wooden dowels that go into the sides of the footboard, with the other end of the dowels going into the legs. They fit into the footboard but the holes in the legs were not big enough. I ended up shaving down half the dowel with a box cutter blade to make it fit. Worked great. Overall I would say this bed frame is a good purchase; High quality solid wood construction, sturdy hardware , and the honey finish is beautiful. That said it’s worth noting that the size of the bed frame in the listing is not accurate. We bought this frame specifically to fit a twin bed sized small niche that is set into the wall of my son’s bedroom. According to the listing this bed should have fit perfectly. It is actually almost an inch wider than the specifications say measuring just over 77 inches wide . This detail might not be a challenge for most buyers but I feel like it should be changed in the listing for accuracy. Also , it’s worth noting that the finish is not incredibly durable and does scratch easily. In the building process the drawers got a few scratches just from being face down on our hardwood flooring . Not a deal breaker but be careful when building to protect the finish.. Laura.
