They are wooden and fairly thick. Kind of pretty. There really isn’t a good way of hanging them other than the plastic ‘stickers’ provided. I cannot imagine that you would be able to hang anything with weight on them using adhesive plus what damage would that do to a wall Even if you only wanted to hang utensils, in a potentially ‘greasy’ kitchen, I don’t think they would last..
