These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. We ordered this to top a 36” cabinet and to create a crafting space. The wood is absolutely beautiful. It does have some deep imperfections like in the photo, but still pretty. It is scalloped on both of the long sides so you have to be careful if you’re putting it up against the wall. We chose not to plane it to make it straight because the scalloping is very pretty. Despite significant damage to the shipping box the bar top is 99.9 undamaged. There is a minor chip on the bottom edge not visible from the top. This is attributed to the outstandingly packaging that was done for shipping. This bar top and delivery has exceeded my expectations.
