This is a beautiful desk and solid. Followed the directions page by page and had no issues. Took my time, had the football game on TV and poured myself a cocktail during the build. Depending on how fast you work depends on how much time it will take to assemble. Took me an evening and the next morning to complete but I took my time with no stress. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom.
