They do seem very durable and almost look like a tarp on the back. Since they have that plasticy feeling I didn't iron them because I think they would melt but I don't know how to get the wrinkles out. I am hoping they just straighten out after they are hung up for a while. They definitely block out the sun so they do their job there.
