I wanted something that provides some privacy (street-facing window) but is still sheer enough to let in plenty of natural light. This does the trick. Dimensions are accurate as advertised. It fit our window perfectly. Be aware, because it is sheer, that if you have your room lit up at night, people will still be able to see in a little bit (outlines and such). The roller shade was easy to install and is aesthetically pleasing. A feature that I don’t really like is the “stopper “ that is installed on the chain is placed so the shade doesn’t roll all of the way up. I don’t know if it is by design or a manufacturer error. As an avid DIYer, I know the difference between good and bad products. This motorized blind is high quality. Everything from the fabric and housing quality to the ease of installation make this a great choice. Unfortunately, our primary reason for purchasing this was for privacy in the evening, as our deck opens up to community courts and gathering space. As it’s getting dark in the evening, and the lights are on in our kitchenfamily room, you can see everything in our home almost as clearly as if the shade were not in place. Also, my home is fully automated with Alexa control. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes. These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. I love this shade! The magnetic installation works great - the shade stays in place and I raise and lower it daily since I use it for nighttime privacy.
