Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. The color is a dark gray. The front door lock could be sturdier. We like accessing the bowls as they swing from the inside to the outside of the cage. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. The directions were okay, but I had to look at a photo of the cage for installation of the cage locks. It ended up being very easy. I think for the price, the cage is worth it.. Mark Wilson. This cage is large and durable. Assembly was a bit complicated as a few pieces were mislabeled, but after process of elimination I was able to figure it out. You’ll definitely need someone to help you with the way the screws and nuts are placed. For a bird cage it’s different in the sense that it’s a chicken wire pattern rather than vertical bars, and it doesn’t have built in food and water doors. Overall, it’s a fairly decent cage..
