I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. Beautiful desk! I chose to pay the assembly fee which resulted in three handmen working for two hours straight to assemble the desk. While the instructions did not appear to be confusing or difficult, there were a lot of tiny parts so it was time-consuming. My only recommendation to the designer is to make the hole for the power cord slightly larger as it is impossible to run a cord through the back of the desk once it has been assembled.. Morgan.
