I normally don't rate my purchases. However, this low voltage kit appears to be of very high quality, lovely design, and made of solid metal. Easy to install and works better than expected, for the price. Only downside was that bulbs are not included, so make sure you don't purchase bulbs with too much total wattage. This class 2, UL & cUL listed electronic transformer is the perfect solution for wiring multiple low voltage fixtures. Class 2 transformers are intrinsically safer transformers because they are compartmentalized to allow no greater than 5 amps of current to be drawn on each compartment. Secondary wiring for class 2 transformers does not require conduit sheathed cable or clamp wiring techniques. This transformer has a low minimum load requirement of 1W to allow the use of LED products. Maybe dimmed using an electronic low voltage dimmer.

As the frequency is not converted (in my case its input is 225VAC at 60Hz and its output is 250VAC at 60Hz), items with motors (such as power tools) that expect 50Hz will run faster than designed, while items with resistance (such as my Sigg Raclette grill) are indifferent.
