I purchased a cal king reversible down alternative comforter for an insert to my duvet cover for a guest bed. I wanted it to be white and not too heavy. It came packaged in a nice cloth sack and has two pillows cases that zip up on the ends. It fit well in the duvet cover. Impressed with how well it was packaged. Inspired by pure thickness. Maybe we've lost our minds here at coma inducer or maybe we've always had a couple of screws loose??? But we've become obsessed with thick. Seriously though, who likes a weak comforter? Does anyone enjoy getting a comforter vacuum smushed in a box that looks like a flat sheet and comes with instructions to shake it out and wait 4 days? And, after those 4 days are up, it's still so thin you wonder if you were sent a flat sheet. The thought of such a comforter makes us sick! Sure, it's harder to create, produce, and ship such impossibly huge comforters that are "thicker than thick"... But isn't that the whole point? With the number of hours, we sleep (or should sleep) each night, it should be a crime to have a flat sheet-like comforter. Our thicker-than-thick coma inducer consists of 800 gsm of thick, pure goodness. Overly thick filling combined with cozy soft plush creates a deep sleep experience like no other. My husband grew up sleeping on Mexican fur blankets #iykyk so getting him used to a proper fitted and top sheet was not easy. Hubby approves of this blanket he says its even softer than expected. Love the quilt the look and the weight. Just what I needed to make my guest room not feminine for when my son is here. What I don’t like is, as other reviews stated after just one wash it pilled up on the decorated side. Wouldn’t be so bad if it was the other side. I’m hoping it will go away or I’ll have to get one of those fabric shavers. I did wash it by itself in cold and let it hang dry over my couch.
