The included stainless steel roll up mat lets you air dry glassware or can be placed on the countertop as a trivet.  The bottom grid with rubber feet protect the basin’s shine. This surround was relatively easy to put together and included plenty of glue. The optional shelves are a great benefit, allowing you to place them where they make sense in your installation (the studs and plumbing in my wall only allowed for a small width where the recessed shelf would fit, but you have free reign to cut and install). This product is a replacement for the 6kw unit that i had for 10 years. I actually don't have a use for the lights and speakers as my shower is already done. Not very happy with the programmability of the unit. You can only run the unit in 30 min increments. So if it takes 15 minutes to get up to temp you have to run it for another 30 + 15 remaining from the preheat. Maybe I'll find a way to not have to add 30 min.
