I really like this shoe bench and once put together its looks great and Im hopeful it will help organize the clutter of things I had in this corner. However, the wood is manufactured and not the best quality so Im not optimistic it will stand the test of time. I purchased the Bridget Hall Tree in Dark Cherry and Im very happy with it overall. Assembly is definitely the biggest challenge, but it just takes patience. As long as you pay close attention to the instructions and take your time, its very doable. Everything arrived extremely well packaged, and all the pieces were in great condition. Once assembled, the hall tree feels sturdy and looks beautiful. The included baskets complement the dark cherry finish perfectly and really complete the look. One thing to keep in mind is that the finish seems like it could scratch fairly easily. If you plan to use the baskets often, Id recommend removing them carefully to avoid rubbing against the wood. Because of that, I think this piece is best suited as a decorative entryway organizer rather than something that will get heavy, rough daily use. Overall, its a beautiful piece of furniture, and Ive had a lot of fun decorating it for the seasons. It adds a warm, elegant touch to my entryway, and Im very pleased with my purchase. Stunningly beautiful. Heavy, sturdy. Some say the drawers are sticky, but it is wood rails. (So expected) Rub a bar of soap on the rails about once a year and it will slide easily. I’m surprised and delighted at how heavy it is. Wayfair white glove delivery drivers were as friendly and courteous as can be. The box it came in had very little scuffs for traveling across the country. No damage of item. Really happy with the purchase! Does what it needs to do. And is sturdy enough. The instructions were pretty clear with only one or two steps that could have been *slightly* clearer on the direction of a piece etc. one bag of hardware was mislabeled but easily figured out. The drawers are basically those little cube shelf observers with thin wood on the front. But it’s fine. You get what you pay for and it’ll do the job. I appreciate the adjustable shelves and little notches in them so the shelves don’t move as you need to pull shoes out. I also didn’t put the sliding doors on just because I have kids and it’s one less step for them in hopes the shoes actually get put on the shelf. And I think it looks fine without them.
