Pretty sturdy piece! I combined it with the corner shelving unit and rearranged the rods & shelves to fit my closet. It is definitely solid and I like that the pieces don't really dent or scratch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ClosetMaid Impression Wood closet system was easy to assemble with minimal tools and it looks fantastic!! The instructions made sense and were easy to follow. There were 2 of us putting everything together. Our closet is a little smaller and because we have sliding closet doors, we needed to install the 2 shelves side by side with the rods on the outside. It ended up working out easily though to adapt this closet system to what made sense for our space. I really like that it comes with trim to make it look more built-in and clean. The locking mechanism for the rods is cool, they feel very strong and supported. One thing to note, the top shelves are not the same depth as the cabinets which ends up looking fine but something to know. They are about 2 inches smaller and sit a little back from the shelving unit. I also found it strange that the rods aren’t underneath the shelves, instead they are right under the trim. Somethings I wish could be improved about this closet system: I wish the brackets for the shelves were white, I wish there were white stickers to put over screw tops, and I wish there was a way to hide the wall brackets that attach the shelving units to the wall. Assembly is definitely a two-person job; I had to call my dad for help since some of the pieces were too heavy for me to lift and install on my own. Great storage system for small closets! We were originally trying to find a short dressed to fit in this shallow closet but this was a way better solution and much better use of vertical space. It was a lot sturdier and heavier than we had imagined which was a nice surprise. We had bought the add on top shelf to extend the upper shelf space but realized our closet wasn’t tall enough to accommodate it which is fine and now we have this small hidden storage spot on top. It’s nice that they offer the add ons but we will be returning the extra shelf since we can’t use it. This was also a great price on sale compared to other closet storage options.. Sydney. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I have to say about this cabinet is that the assembly is overwhelming. I started building the drawers at home and quickly realized this was too big for my house and had to stop. Luckily my hubs has a new office he needs furnished. This cabinet turned out beautiful!
