I was very apprehensive about purchasing a bed online because it’s hard to know what you’re actually getting without seeing it in person. I’m happy to report that this king bed exceeded my expectations! The bed is made of real wood, which was important to me, and it feels incredibly sturdy. My husband assembled it in a couple of hours without any major issues. Once put together, there was absolutely no wobbling or creaking—it feels very solid and well-made. I did purchase a 2-inch box spring to provide additional support for our 14-inch mattress. Even with the box spring, there is still plenty of headboard visible, and the overall look is beautiful. The frame comes with four support slats, and each slat has two legs that extend to the floor for added stability and support. I was initially worried that the quality might be lacking or that the bed would feel rickety, but neither of those concerns turned out to be true. The craftsmanship appears to be very good, the bed is sturdy, and it looks fantastic in our bedroom. I would absolutely purchase this bed again and would confidently recommend it to others. Assembly took about an hour with two people, and while it could definitely be done solo, having an extra set of hands made the process much smoother and faster. I purchased two of these beds. Before buying, I read several reviews mentioning that mattresses had fallen through, or that the bed had fallen apart. After assembling both frames, I can understand how that could potentially happen — at least with one of them. There was a noticeable difference in material quality between the two beds. One feels solid and sturdy, and the slats seem like they will hold up well. The other felt more fragile during assembly. The “wood” (not real wood) was splintering slightly while we were screwing the parts together, which makes me question the durability over time. Assembly took about 2.5 hours per bed with two people. They look great once assembled, and I really love how they turned out. However, the inconsistency between the two frames makes me think quality control may be an issue. I love this Canton Solid Wood Platform Bed. It is such a cute stylish farmhouse style bedframe. It does require assembly, but from the moment I opened the box, everything was organized and clearly labeled. The bed was very easy to put together and only required one person. Assembly took about an hour. The bed feels sturdy and well made. While the included tools work fine, using my own tools made the process faster. Overall, a smooth and straightforward assembly. I like that it has 10 center support legs underneath the bed. It has an underbed clearance of 7.5” if you need to store anything under it. It is made from a sturdy wood with a painted finish The slat kit is included and I was surprised that they feature a non-slip adhesive that keeps your mattress in place so it doesn’t slide around. I also like that if you want to change your headboard, they carry other styles that you can switch out in the future. Each side rail has been tested to support 600 lbs. of force.
