I’m pleased with this purchase. It was a bit challenging to assemble on my own since I have short arms and the front and back of the unit are preinstalled. Also because the particle board in the back was a bit warped it was difficult to get the top to line up when assembling the final bolts. It’s definitely a two person job. But the solid word portion is good quality and I’m pleased the cherry color is a close match to my other furniture. If it’s delivered to your home when you are not there you’ll need a dolly to get it inside. It’s extremely heavy when all packaged together. Split wood backing, had re-drill to be level. Rough plywood was used. Had to touch up stain on top of the tv stand. Sold wood? The sides are an oak veneer, but I suppose technically plywood is solid wood. I think saying "for TV's up to 43 inches" is a CYA thing. My 55" TV works just fine on it. My floors are hard wood, but I can see how a carpeted floor could make it less stable. Wayfair lowered the price by $180 shortly after ordering, but would not give me a price adjustment.. William. It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf.
