We couldn’t figure out the color online but that’s because color changes with the lighting throughout the day. It appears to be hand blown glass so there is no seams but there are slight imperfections in the glass (bubbles). The light bulb is slightly crooked from the screw that pinches the wire in place and it’s impossible to get the cord perfect straight. When they were built this was originally supposed to be a patio and they enclosed it for additional living space. I made it an office which isnt completed yet! I love how they hug the ceiling and they come with two remote controls which is super handy when walking into the room when dark. I keep one in my living room and one on the desk. It also has a day and night on it for bright or soft. When I ordered them I felt they were a little expensive, but when I got them, I feel they are well worth the expense! Such a genius idea to have sconces with a rechargeable lightbulb! I had never heard of this until I saw it on Wayfair, and of course now I see them quite a bit. This hallway going down to my basement is very dark. The electrician said he could not put a light up in the ceiling after he climbed up in the attic to look. So when I saw these, I was so excited to be able to do such a simple thing to add light to this dreary, dark hallway! I had a bit of a struggle getting them mounted right because they are so close to my ceiling, but other than that, it is very simple to get them mounted and have instant light wherever you might need it! The gold shade on these actually move, so you can rotate it to your desired spot. Strangely, it is a bit tricky to get the remote to work for both lights. It does come with two. So I just was played around with it and pushed buttons until I was able to sync them. I wish I could remember what I did but that part was a little frustrating. I actually mounted the remote to the side of the wall where I do have a switch that turns on a light at the very bottom of the stairs.
