My fridge is black so it looks even better than SS. Drawers open and close smoothly. I chose not to use the grid bc I had the fridge, and used the space for additional glass storage. I thought it might be flimsy looking but it’s a nice solid faux piece of pressboard or laminated material and the metal is quite sturdy.
