Be aware that the 55” measurement is for the desk part only. The drawer area is not included in this measurement. The desk itself is good. Lots of space on the top level for two (or three) monitors. Plenty of workspace on the desk. Standing function a big plus and works well. The only thing I don’t like is that the bottom drawer isn’t a file folder. The drawer could have been made deep enough for this feature but for some reason it was not included in the design. Came well packaged. A few pieces chipped (small) and some dirty (cleaned up well). I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. I really do love this desk for the most part, but there are a few things that lost it a star. First, the storage is pretty low quality for the price. The drawers are just cardboard on the bottom and they don’t soft close or anything. The shelving on the other side is kind of dumb also - they’re not big enough to fit anything but small planners or something like that. Partly my fault for not looking at those dimensions, but I just assumed I could keep books there. And finally, putting this desk together is pretty difficult alone. I’ve put together a lot of furniture on my own, and I know what I’m doing, but this took like 6 hours. And I think one of those hours was just lining up the desk too with all the tiny holes to screw it on lol would be much easier with help. Now for positives - the desk looks really good and works really well! The desktop is sturdy and high quality, and the presets are very easy to set and use. There’s plenty of room underneath for your chair or a walking pad. I’m very happy with this desk! I’m a fairly tall lady (5’10”) and it gets more than tall enough for me to use while standing. Setup took around 3 hours with 2 people (granted we’re not very building savvy) and instructions were fairly cleareasy to follow. When it came to the “use a box for support” part of the manual, we just used throw pillows and it worked fine. Everything was packaged very thoughtfully and the quality of the desk feels very sturdy. Being the first review is scary. Where to start. First - the desk is beautiful and just what I wanted for the office. Good, solid material that came packaged very well and undamaged. Worthy of 5 stars. But, second - the shipping company was awful and asked me to come in at 7am because I would be the first delivery of the day. Annoying, but whatever. They didn't show up until 4pm that day. Third - the instructions are clearly from outside this country...which isn't a big deal as long as they are clear and accurate...they were neither. Mislabelled parts in the manual, one entire instruction manual for the desk wasn't included (or was never made) and then there were several steps where I realized "I should have been told to do this 5 steps ago".
