I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. When it gets super windy I remove the top half of the palms so they won't get damaged. I live in Southern Utah so we'll see how they survive the summer sun. Love! We live in an area that gets a lot of wind and the summers are hot. The faux Boxwoods are a perfect solution for water issues. We do have natural flowers but I water them at least every other day. It’s nice to have an option for the areas that are not easily accessible to the hose and or water system.
