I absolutely love this cabinet! It’s tall and elegant without taking up much floor space, making it perfect for smaller areas or awkward corners. The instructions were excellent, and I was genuinely impressed with how well engineered every piece was. There are a lot of parts, though—it took me about six hours to assemble. The bookcase fits the space perfectly, it is tall and narrow. Still trying to determine what fits on each of the shelves as it does not actually fit hardcover books upright, which is the only negative. I can place the books on their side but can’t fit as many. Got a pair to hold board games. Yes, they are metal (but could you expect wood this thin to be strong?) and are about the right size. Easy to put together for the most part, and I had no trouble getting holes to line up, but they do tend to rock/wobble just a bit. And there is a LOT of bright brass hardware that shows on the sides.
