This storage chest with lid is an ideal storage solution for your living space.

If you don't need a chest that's exactly this size, give this one a pass. It has several machining errors that mean the pieces are not flush and with some of the small holes, I had to make my own because they simply did not line up. The side handles do not actually fit because the holes in the pieces they attach to are too narrow. This is fairly standard for cheap Wayfair furniture and I would have rated it 4 stars; however, the most egregious problem with this chest is that the "gas lift mechanism" is in fact just a piece of metal that looks like a gas-powered mechanism and if used will just keep your chest open, since the mechanism does not actually move.. It's a nice size and for me held about 3 quilts, one blanket, and a couple of shams if you roll or fold right. Pretty roomy for the size regardless but fairly compact for smaller spaces. Easy to put together. The hinge is nice because it holds the lid open and prevents it from slamming down. Sturdy construction and parts do not feel cheap so for the price this is very good. There were a few issues putting it together, mostly attaching the soft close hinges- they didn’t want to match up with the pre drilled holes and it took some force to make sure they were even close. Also the board for the bottom is very thin but with the 2 braces it doesn’t seem to be a problem. It is holding various sizes of blankets and pillows for my kids to grab when needed.
