The Tovolo Kitten with Yarn Ice Cube Molds Set of 2 freeze two large kittens, each curled around a ball of yarn, for cocktails, whiskey, iced coffee and lemonade. The detailed shape is formed by the flexible silicone cap, so the finished ice shows the kitten and yarn clearly in the glass. Large ice melts more slowly than standard cubes, keeping drinks cold without watering them down. A fill line inside each mold marks the right water level for a consistent shape every batch. The tight-fitting silicone cap seals each mold so it is leak proof on the way to the freezer, and the molds stack. Each mold measures 2.9 by 4.75 by 2.5 inches. To release, run warm water over the mold, peel off the cap and squeeze the sides. Both molds are BPA-free and dishwasher safe.

The flexible, food-grade silicone bends to release one or two cubes at a time, and the cubes come out whole without splitting, sharding or cracking. Each tray measures 6.25 by 4.5 by 2 inches, and the trays stack when filled to save freezer space. Beyond the bar, chill lemonade, iced coffee or iced tea, or freeze juice and herbs in neat portions. The Tovolo King Cube Clear Ice System makes four crystal-clear 2-inch cubes at home. Foam insulation slows the freeze and directs it from the top down, pushing oxygen and impurities toward the bottom tray and away from the forming ice. The result is transparent cubes without cloudy spots or trapped bubbles. To use it, fill the center tube with filtered water and let it flow into the four silicone cube molds. Freeze for 12 to 16 hours, then release the cubes from the flexible molds. The large cubes melt very slowly, so whiskey, bourbon, scotch and craft cocktails stay cold without watering down quickly. The insulated system also seals out freezer odors for clean-tasting ice. The silicone molds are dishwasher safe. Wash the foam insulation and tray by hand in warm, soapy water.

Nice. Don't sit anything on top of the tray. All of the cubes froze and were clear except the one that had a box on top of it. . Debbie. St Petersburg, FL. Wed Jul 22 2020
