I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. Despite its strong suction (up to 1100 CFM), it operates surprisingly quietly, which is a big plus in an open kitchen. The touchless control feature is also a standout. You can turn it on or off just by waving your hand, which is super convenient when your hands are messy from cooking. I ordered this to have another hob for when preparing larger meals and entertaining. Sadly, the description was not very clear that it was induction and required induction compatible cookware. This has since been added. I did not have compatible cookware, which was an excuse to buy a new set. Never having used induction before, I did not know what to expect. It is going to take some trial and error to use the temperature setting, but I have to say it steeped a pot of tea in five minutes! From the photo you can see in five minutes the temperature was over 160 degrees. The fan is not too loud, but something to note if you have never used an induction plate before. The instruction manual is basic, so I will have to play around with this to learn all of its features. With that being said, I think I will really like this hob! This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is.
