Plus, the 2-box flat packaging effectively protects the wooden door components from transit damage. Q: What if I choose the wrong handing for left or right door opening? A: Door handing determines hinge placement and jamb stop orientation. Please carefully review our handing diagram before making your purchase to ensure you select the correct handing, so the door swings properly after installation. Q: Is the 15-minute frame assembly difficult? A: Not at all! We provide clear, step-by-step instructions that guide you through connecting the jamb pieces around the door slab. Just keep a nail gun and router handy, and you'll have it assembled in no time. Q: Can this door be trimmed to fit my existing opening? A: Yes. The solid core construction allows up to 0.5 inches of trimming per edge (top, bottom, left, right) to fit unique rough openings seamlessly. Please note that hollow core doors are not recommended for trimming, as cutting may compromise their structural integrity. Q: What is the return process for this door slab? A: Please keep the original packaging and repack the door in its original condition to ensure a smooth return process.

Having more than 85 cumulative years of experience building, designing and engineering wood doors are excited to introduce three very important features. Our doors have been tested and approved to meet a design pressure (DP) rating of 45. In order to qualify for a DP 45 rating, our doors were subjected to extreme testing conditions that simulate hurricane-force winds up to 150 mph. Our doors also qualify for TDI (Texas Department of Insurance). Door Jamb is constructed of a paintable hard polymer shell with an interior close cellular structure that prevents water absorption while offering 2 times the screw holding strength than wood. Steel ball-bearing hinges were applied. Prefinished at our factory allows us to finish all edges of the panels, rails, and styles prior to assembly of the doors. This is extremely important for long life of the doors, minimizing panel issues. Our finish is a 9 step oil-based polyurethane process.

First door was damaged, the steel wrap around the edges was crushed into the edge of the door. Customer service was very supportive, they sent a replacement that also had damage along the same edge. The damage wasn't significant I didn't even report it I used bondo wood filler and sanded it and it's good. Since I am painting the door you won't see the small patched area. Happy with the price and initial quality the damage is happening during handling. Robert. DE. Wed Oct 07 2026
