It’s a big piece of heavy furniture and it’s perfect. Assembly was pretty straightforward and feels over engineered. The mattress that comes with it is quite thin but that’s based on my preference ! We absolutely love our Mandujano Murphy Bed in the Barnwood finish. After downsizing, we needed our larger office to double as a guest room, and this bed is perfect. Assembly wasn’t too hard to understand like others are making it seem, just gotta use your brain. The hardest part was fitting into tight corners to tighten some of the camber bolts and whatnot. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. This bed is a beast! Very well packed! Absolutely no damage from shipping. A lot of work to put together, but we expected that. Very heavy. And it’s BIG, even though we measured, the size still surprised us. Solid piece of furniture. Have not slept on it but just laying on the mattress feels like it will work well for guests. Very solid piece of furniture. Assembly directions were easy to follow. Took approximately two hours to assemble with two people. I have been searching for a fully assembled murphy cabinet bed for a long time, and after months of consideration, I decided to splurge and purchase this model! I wanted something that would be easy to open and close on a daily basis, that you’d be able to leave the sheets / comforter on when closed (this eliminated tons of other options because most Murphy cabinets have 3-section mattresses, meaning the sheets need to be taken off every time.) I just received this product today, and Wayfair delivered the insanely heavy box right into the room for me for free!! Mattress is very firm so you may want to get a thin mattress topper for it. Edit: (1 week update) The bed and mattress emitted very strong odors that gave me headaches and a sore throat symptoms for days. It says it is CA Phase 2 compliant for formaldehyde, so just be careful and make sure to let the product air out (off gas) in the garage for a few days before sleeping on it. I adore this cabinet/murphybed. The appearance and mechanism is excellent. The mattress is surprisingly comfortable. The price for the whole is meh. What did not esrn it a five star ratng is that the boards located by the latch are manufactured with a thin sheet of wood. When this was put together and the screwing mechanism needed to be completed, the screws split the wood because of the thin sheet that was used in its manufacture. :/ When I went to report to Wayfair to file a claim, there was no specific way to describe the issue because of the way Wayfair's reporting system is set up..
