This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. The sofa/loveseat has a great style and seems very sturdy. The measurements state it, but keep in mind the seat sits higher off the floor than most sofas. I don't mind because it's a nice piece for the price but at 5'7" my feet dangle a bit. The seat cushions are not stiff. Sort of springy. For lounging horizontally you will need pillows. As shown there is no cushioning on the side arm rests. The fabric has a little more movement than expected. I imagined a velvet or mohair which it is not but it's a very sofa material. I'm adding photos. We haven't used it yet just tried it out quickly as it's being sent to an apartment. There were no creaks or squeaks, just the springy cushions as mentioned.
