I left one star out because of the screws for the corner seat. They're not long enough so you really got to stuff the alley key in there. Overall the couch is decent and this is a 2-3 person job due to weight. Also a different more precise manual comes in the package than what's on the website. It's very comfortable and has a movie night feel to it. The cushions sink you into the couch almost so all you need is a blanket. Wrist and fingers will hurt from all the twisting but it's worth it. Says a screwdriver is needed but it's not. The alley key is way more useful because of how the screws are shaped at the top. It's a little wide but still fits in my cottage-sized living space. There is a new couch scent so baking soda and vacuuming is a must if you can't stand it but like most new furniture it will eventually dissipate. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I was very surprised at how great this sofa is!!! First it came vacuum packed into a roll like a mattress so it came in just one box!
