I needed a bed frame fast to accommodate my daughter visiting with her new born. The frame was delivered as expected. It was easy to put together, considering I am assemble challenged lol. I put it together without help. As a new mom my daughter was in and out of bed often and said it was sturdy. I’ve had it since 2023; the wood frame bars are still in tact, no crackling or squeaking and it’s been used everyday and still in excellent condition. I got the green daybed. The colors were true emerald which is lovely next to house plants. The bed feels sturdy but my only issue was the lack of a central support beam. So I just built one from some planks of wood. All in all, I am very pleased with this piece of furniture and I get to enjoy it as a couch and just sit on it getting some sunlight while reading. I ordered the full sized bed with trundle bed for my grandchildren. This bed was not as easy to put together as I thought it would be. It is definitely a 2-person job for parts of it, mostly to be sure you are both interpreting the instructions correctly. The instructions are like one of those optical illusions that change with your focus and everything could be a different direction. All instructions should be like Lego instructions that have the new parts highlighted and the parts that are already put together darkened. The slats that hold the bed are not fastened down so if you are stepping through them without the mattress on, they will just come off. If you take the mattress off at an angle, the slats will come off. That is irritating, but they do seem to stay in place once a mattress is flat on it. The mattress needs to be at least 12 inches high if you don’t want a gap between the mattress and the bottom of the wood back so you don’t drop things behind the bed. The plug works great, but, in my opinion, should be on one side or the other. Probably the side with the shelving. The wood barn-like boards are DEFINITELY NOT white. They are an off-white to beige. The metal pieces are pure white. I was hoping for white, but I’m getting used to the color now. It is sturdy when put together, but again, be careful with the instructions. Change your focus and you will put things on backwards. I still have a small twin mattress on the bed as I wait for the full sized mattress to arrive. The drawers are made of canvas with flat bottoms inserted. The shelves are very sturdy. They are not adjustable. We are so happy with this bed! My 9-year-old daughter absolutely loves it. Since we put it together, she actually makes her bed every morning and keeps telling us how much she loves spending time in her room — which might be the best review a parent can give! Assembly was very straightforward and easy to follow. Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it does take some time, but I chose to build it in sections over two days, which made the process very manageable. I was able to assemble almost the entire bed myself. My husband only had to help me carry the bookcase sections upstairs because of their size. For the price, I think this bed is an excellent value. It completely changed the look and feel of my daughters room and gives her a fun, cozy setup that she genuinely enjoys. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable bedroom upgrade that looks great and isnt overly complicated to assemble. We are very happy with our purchase! PS.
