I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. Works for me, but I would have been really upset if I had paid full price. Majority of the pieces had some sort of damage that could have been solved with better packing. The backing is pretty flimsy and has really visible creases that I couldn't smooth out. I covered the back with wallpaper bc I thought it was cute. The laminate is pretty thin and seems to be easily damaged. Overall satisfied with it, but I would have preferred something a bit more elevated. Just hard to find a good balance of price and value.. The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. I couldn’t have found a better shelf for the space I needed. We live in an old house that we are remodeling so needless to say our spaces are wonky. We have a space next to our safe and this shelf fits perfectly in width depth and height. My only complaint is that the backing was not aligned and I had to remove the tape that held it together to re-aligned it. It caused the piece to crack a little which is ok since this is hidden and for storage. Impressed with the hardware - all metal. And it comes with a magnetic screw driver! It has new parts already installed in the pieces that cut the assembly time in half. I included a picture of the one imperfection that was on the backboard of the top portion. I absolutely love this bookshelf! It is beautiful, substantial, and looks much more expensive than it is. It adds such a classy touch to my space, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. When my bookshelf arrived, one of the pieces was damaged. I reached out to customer support, and they responded quickly and immediately offered to send a replacement part. In the meantime, I was able to repair the issue myself, although it did take a few hours of extra work. By the time support got back to me, I had already completed the assembly and no longer needed the replacement part. Even so, they were committed to making things right, which I really appreciated. As someone with absolutely no furniture-building experience, I was able to assemble the entire bookshelf on my own with just a screwdriver and some patience. Despite the initial hiccup, the finished product is sturdy, attractive, and exactly what I was hoping for.
