Today I got the package for silk lampshade. I have 7 orient lamps all with silk shades. The one I got early 2001 with beige scalloped shade with plastic lining until it turned brown and cracked. I have bought a small silk lampshade at lamp shop before. It was over $100 and now I am retired. I need a new shade so badly and I tried Wayfair and looked carefully with sizes. It’s affordable. Got the shade and touched carefully. The fabric is really silk! So I placed on the lamp. Sides was correct 12 inches. The bottom and top was 1.5 inches short. I needed a slender profile floor lamp for a dark corner. Wasn't entirely sold on the attached task light, but am finding it useful for some unobtrusive, directional light on the wall when used alone. The top glass cone's light is quite bright, and I may use it only in the daytime. Would'a given it 5 stars if it had a clear electrical cord. WHY do lamp manuf's continue to use black?! Why provide a black cord when, as with this lamp, extra cord won't retract into the lamp base?
