Fire pit is nice, but it is not fully cast iron. Only the top part and the lid are cast iron parts. The base it sheet metal and the legs are sheet metal. If you push it along the ground too hard one of the legs may buckle. Its only about 40% cast iron. I was expecting the base and legs to be cast iron. The price was low so so I will keep it. I had a fully cast iron chiminea that lasted about 25 yrs. I was trying to get another of similar quality. There is no way this one is going to last 25 years. Brayden Studio manufactures and utilizes industrial-strength tank heads for the bowls used in our fire pits. Tank heads are the end caps on cylindrically shaped pressure vessels. They generally comply with ASME standards because of the high pressures they must withstand for use with gas storage tanks and reactors.

The firepit took a few weeks to arrive, and was worth the wait. It is exactly as described and pictured. The only drawback is that the straps that secured it to the pallet rubbed the black finish off on all four sides so we will need to fix that as it is too heavy to return. It also gives off a strong ambiance as the fire is much more visible, almost like a fire feature or fire pit! The door of this oven is square-shaped and is perfect for pizzas, casseroles, bread, and mouth-watering rotisseries. All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK, not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot! Each oven has an inner layer of authentic fire brick and mortar, which is then covered with a thick layer of OUR INTERNATIONAL PATENT of Rockwool Insulation that is secured with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement.

I absolutely adore the look of copper, so when I was shopping for a chiminea and stumbled on this one, I had to have it. This was one of my first purchases from Wayfair, and I was expecting something to be wrong with something so big and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that, after the easy assembly, there was only a very small, unnoticeable scrape on the lid. I made sure to read up on "seasoning" the chiminea before using it more extensively. Again, I was surprised that the chiminea fired up as expected with no issues. I think the only small issue I had was some of the paper kindling I used liked to float up through the top opening - I may add some mesh to prevent possible floating embers from escaping. Bought this for our back patio and I’m happy with it! We’ve only used it once, and it wasn’t a big fire so it’s a little hard to say if there was a difference in the smoke experience. But it’s a nice size, looks nice, and it’ll get a lot of use. One thing is that the bag it came with doesn’t work as a carry bag.
