We love this item! It was delivered professionally during our delivery window. We followed the directions and installed it ourselves. Putting it together was simple, but it does require some comfort with tools to install/secure the entire bed and shelving units to the floor and wall. We are very happy with this item. After install, I bought a pack of hole plugs to cover the many holes running on the inside of the shelving unit, and it improved the overall look. I do like how the cabinets look. The doors have a soft close, but the drawers do not. Out of the four boxes, one box arrived four days later and it had damaged pieces. The customer service was able to replace the pieces, however, they also arrived four days after they said they would get here. Even the replacement pieces had damaged corners, but they were usable. Only 4 stars because it was a great value, otherwise it’d be 3. I am a fairly talented handyman and it took me 12 hours to assemble which I knew it would be long but not quite that much. The panels that make the front are ok but not great; definitely not a fine piece of furniture but decent for the price. Overall the kit is nice, It took me about 14 hrs so far to put together the bed section and the cabinet with the drawers. The last cabinet will be quick and i still have to anchor everything to the walls. The total project probably takes 20hrs for a individual who is somewhat skilled at these things. My issues are mostly around the instruction booklet. They are not laid out in a useful and logical manner. You have to flip between pages to find out where things are packaged and then build up your pile of parts before starting a section, also they suggest you start with the bedshell but it is most logical to start with the cabinets. It also has some steps that make more sense to be performed in different orders to minimize movement of the objects and make your life easier. They also don't always specify the orientation of parts which is VERY important for later steps. If the instructions were better i probably would have saved 3-4 hrs of labor. I was initially skeptical…will I like, will I not and if not how much will it cost me to ship back But I can tell you this unit is indeed a KEEPER! Lots of work to put together (took me 3 days) but the end result is well worth it. Perfect color and size. The wood pattern was just as shown. Received four damaged pieces, (we had to build the bed with the damaged pieces due to company coming) and then take apart to replace damaged pieces. Customer service was efficient. After filling out the damaged item request, replacements arrived quickly with out hassle. The back panels vibrated when moving around on the bed.
