I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. Overall a good quality stove, has a major issue with center burner. The burner has been replaced a minimum of 5 times. The 6th burner is in the process of failure. I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. The vacuum was $999 on another site so I tried Wayfair. The description was confusing as to what attachments came with it and for that reason I give it 4 stars. The vacuum is perfect. Purchased this in Sedona beige. The plastic toilet seat and the porcelain toilet base are two different shades. The plastic toilet seat is more yellow than the base. Unfortunately the seat is what you see predominantly when walking into a bathroom. It does not match the decor as we have cool beige. We chose a rectangular stainless steel undermount sink for our new outdoor kitchen space and I already love the direction it’s going. The sharp, clean lines give it a really modern look and it feels like it’s going to elevate the entire setup. The size is exactly what I was looking for and should provide plenty of usable space for prepping and cleaning outdoors. The front offset drain was a big selling point since it keeps it out of the main working area and makes the basin feel more open and functional. I also love that it includes a drain basket, such a simple but thoughtful detail. We did hit a minor setback with our timeline so it’s still in the box and not installed yet, but I’ll be sharing updated photos as soon as it’s in place.
