This shower system is exactly as pictured and really pretty in person. The finish is perfect, not too yellow or brassy, and looks so elevated. The handheld sprayer feels lightweight and plastic, but it still looks great and the rest of the parts seem like nice heavy duty brass with some interior plastic parts. We did a partial remodel and the tile regrout is next. Tub reglaze was done just before thus install and a truly great idea. Unfortunately, our plumber felt land locked into using a Symmons system to match our existing Symmons valve. We could not make Delta system work without a massive tear out. Universal valve didn’t solve the fit and screws in wrong location. So this Symmons was forced as Plan B. The Delta champagne gold was our intention and had already been installed in vanity without a problem. Not loving this very polished brass color. On the BRIGHT side The shower head is huge with 7 variations for water patterns. This is a 3rd floor main bathroom and I wish it had more pressure. 1.5 gpm and we are on a well. There were no install problems encountered by plumber using our original Symmons valve. And because it is a modestly priced unit, maybe we will swap out to a detachable spray head later on. Just know on the color - this is NOT even close to the Delta champagne gold. That is softer dreamy color and all quality, not at all like Symmons brushed brass. (The only reason for a 4-star rating is due to the plastic hose and handwand. All other aspects are a strong 5-star!) The handheld shower unit came with a plastic hose, which I immediately replaced. I am sure the plastic one would have worked well, but the metal replacement looks much better and will last longer. Update on previous review: We have enjoyed this shower system for 3 months and it has been amazing! The water pressure and flow is excellent - much better than expected. The upper head has 2 settings: rain and typical spray. The rain setting is very soothing and soft. The typical spray setting provides a lot of water at great pressure. As noted above I replaced the plastic hose with stainless steel hose. That has worked well. In addition, I actually replaced the hand wand with a Moen unit and prefer it over the one that came standard. (The Moen unit has additional spray settings that the standard unit lacked) The controls on the system are excellent, allowing temperature control on one stalk and water distribution on the other. I really like the ability to set temperature independent of the "on/off" valve. I also love the surface mounted aspect of the system. Not only is it attactive, but this design will make servicing it much easier should an issue arise. Our plumbers commented on the quality of the unit and how easy it was to install.
