This Spartan Helmet took my eye right away! Initially, I thought of both of my sons who love this period of time, but in the end, I kept it for myself! It is made well, but when you first take it out of the plastic wrap it does have an odor, maybe of paint. It looks like a mixture of bronze and black. The size looks comparable to a typical helmet. On its stand it appears to be about 16” high. The big decision is to whether have a frontal view or a side view, showing off the feathers of the helmet. I struggled with what rug to get for our primary suite, and I am happy I settled on this one! It was a really good price, and I think it works well in the space. There is a lot more to do in this space – – we have ordered a picture for above the bed from Wayfair and lamps from another source because I didn’t find exactly what I wanted on Wayfair this time. I’ve also ordered a floor lamp with a scalloped rattan shade for behind the chair from Wayfair – – it is from Joss and Main, which is a Wayfair company. I am really excited to get these other items and will share reviews and photos once I receive them. The rug is soft and easy on the feet, which is what we wanted for this space. There were a number of Jutte rug options that would have worked aesthetically, but it was not the feel we wanted on our feet when we get into an out of our bed.
