Although this is terribly overpriced for a piece of cardboard I purchased it to contribute to my collection of fabulous fakes Roman and Greek antiquities. I want to create a gallery of them on my living room walls. I have copies of Roman busts, life-sized statues and statuettes from Pompeii and photos of Roman murals. The whole living room will be decorated classical. I enjoy ancient history, particularly Roman history. Many pieces Ive collected are not cheap and actually quite good copies. The Marcus Aurelius cut-out is high quality printing of the original bust, the next best thing than owning the original. The function of the Escargot 49 oz. Wine Decanter is based on the fact of a double aeration effect. The first aeration takes place when the wine is poured out of the bottle into the escargot decanter exposing the content of the bottle to oxygen. Lift the decanter from horizontal to a vertical position to fill the decanter. The second contact with oxygen is triggered when the wine is poured out of the Escargot decanter into the glass. When pouring hold the decanter by the oval indent for conveyance. The decanter construction forces fresh air through the already decanted wine a second time to fill the air space in the decanter. This second aeration process creates a bubbling gurgle when the air is forced through the neck of the escargot decanter.
